MTV are making a brand new dance series called “MTV Shakedown" with Wade Robson. Wade Robson is an internationally acclaimed choreographer and dancer who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. MTV are searching Europe for 30 contestants to come to London to be trained by Wade at the Shakedown Boot Camp in September. We are in the process of traveling around Europe auditioning hopefuls for the 30 places at Boot Camp. The winner of the competition will get the chance to appear in a major music artist’s new video. . We are holding auditions in Edinburgh next week - Thursday 27th July @ The Bongo Club at 13:00. |

2nd. January 2005 - Cafe Noir Edinburgh - We attended the first Edinburgh Cafe Noir last night to check out the scene. Cafe Noir is a regular event on the Glasgow club calender and Cafe Noir Glasgow has apparently a good following. The first Edinburgh Cafe Noir was held in Cabaret Voltaire, Blair Street, Edinburgh. All I will say here is the right idea in totally the wrong venue for this type of event. The crowd for the first Edinburgh Cafe Noir had went to great lengths to dress up for the occasion but becuse of the poor lighting the guests could not admire each others finery. The caberet acts were invisible to 90% of the guests as the Cabaret Voltaire venue has a small stage in a corner,low ceilings and even the eager punters who stood on chairs could not see the performers. I managed to see the head of one of the dancers when she was performing and that was it. Find the right venue in Edinburgh for this event and Cafe Noir will be onto a winner.
